Taiko is a free Kontakt instrument based on Subaqueous music Free Taiko Drum Rack and S. Total Composure is the first to offer such a library exclusively for the Kontakt format making use of Kontakt’s scripting capabilities to greatly enhance the playability, realism, and functionality of these public domain samples. There are over 1500 samples in this library totaling more than 1.5 GB but we have used Kontakt’s lossless compression to crunch the size to less than 500MB.

The Total Composure Orchestra (TCO) is a full orchestral sample library created using only samples that are in the public domain. Although it is a bit whimpy compared to other orchestral libraries, the sound is fantastic and you won’t get bogged down with endless settings… This excellent free Kontakt library is definitely the one I use regularly and easiyl deserves to be mentioned in any Best Free Kontakt Libraries 2019 list. It’s perfect for haunted trap beats for sure! It’s really dry up close, but with a nice amount of liveliness as you record further away. The sampled piano stood in the crypt of a church, which provides some interesting acoustics to say the least. All of these microphones can be mixed independently through the Kontakt interface so you can dial in exactly the sound you want. The samples were recorded using some classic vintage microphones (close, room and soundboard) through legendary Neve 1073 pre-amps. These mostly aren’t any better than expensive commercial Kontakt libraries, but for free they offer serious bang for your buck and they still have been used plenty in my recent productions. I recently looked back and checked which are the best free Kontakt libraries 2019 in my arsenal. If you own Native Instruments’ Kontakt 5 sampler, you probably tried many interesting free Kontakt libraries with mixed results.
